Michael Figgis ist ein englischer Filmregisseur, Drehbuchautor und Komponist. Für seine Arbeit an „Leaving Las Vegas“ (1995) erhielt er zwei Oscar-Nominierungen in den Kategorien „Beste Regie“ und „Bestes adaptiertes Drehbuch“. Figgis war Gründungsmitglied und Förderer der Online-Community „Shooting People“ für unabhängige Filmemacher.
